Sambar Deer is just one of the deer we offer at Australian Outfitters by Andrew Mackay. Sambar are a large deer with three tines and a shaggy coat. They are a popular game for sport. Sambar can weigh around 450 lbs and live in the thick swampy areas often wallowing in the mud.

Our Sambar Deer hunting concession is located in the State of Victoria or South Australia. This is a different location from the Northern Territory where we hunt our Water Buffalo. We hunt Sambar Deer when they are hard antlered, so generally from May through September are the best dates.
